My personal fitness journey began when I was working out for football in high school. It was through my participation in a structured weight-training program that sparked my love and enjoyment for exercise and fitness.

I have been working as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning specialist for over 5 years. Over the past 5 years I have trained a wide range of clients. I have trained men and women in their teens to individuals in their 70s. I have worked with people with varying levels of personal exercise experience as well as varying goals and reasons for training in the first place. I have learned that every individual is unique and requires a special plan and approach tailored to their individual needs and goals.

When it comes to fitness we all can use some good motivation. Fitness is a lifelong journey that you build overtime. It evolves- physical, mental and nutritional compnents that constitutes the building blocks of a healthy lifestyle. Remember, no matter what your age is, anything is possible.

I have been training with Mike for several years. I’ve come a long way from someone who was basically a couch potato to running a half marathon. I’ve also made significant progress in making changes to my body composition, losing 5% of my body fat just over the last few months. Mike is the perfect trainer because he knows how to push you harder to meet your goals while still listening when you tell him that something hurts or doesn’t feel right. I will definitely be recommending him to anyone and everyone who needs a personal fitness trainer.

I started Boxing at the age of 15 years old and began competing not long after. As I progressed over time I’ve had opportunities to train along high-level professional boxers as an amateur fighter, this high level training has helped me develop not only as a fighter but as a great instructor beyond my years!

You can expect my full undivided attention while working on technique and intense boxing training. Students who I teach enjoy my high-intensity workouts while jamming out to hip-hop. We will be having fun burning up calories while learning the sweet science of Boxing. See you soon!

My experience with yoga stretches back about 10 years. In this time I have subscribed to many different types of athletic training, from traditional weight lifting, High intensity interval Training, long distance running, hiking, ect. The one constant through all of these different styles of exercise has been my yoga practice. I firmly believe this is the reason why I have never had an exercise related injury. The increased range of motion, flexibility and abundance of stabilizing muscles throughout the kenetic chain of my body has given me a dynamic edge to safely push myself further than most other people.

These attributes are what make a strong foundation, and help launch you through to the next level. Whether you are an athlete, completely new to fitness, or somewhere in between. With the right teacher, yoga can be molded as the perfect complement to your existing fitness regimen or designed to be your primary focus for overall fitness. I can confidently say that the great results I’ve had with my own athletic training as well as with the people I’ve taught along the way, are a direct result of committing to a regular yoga practice.

Mary Trotter

Licensed Massage Therapist – LMT

Mary is a Licensed Massage Therapist who graduated from the Baltimore School of Massage in 2013. Mary currently provides massage therapy services at Sport & Spine Rehab in Rockville, Maryland. In addition, Mary will be opening her own private practice in Columbia, Maryland in October 2017.

For the past 4 years, Mary has worked alongside chiropractors and physical therapists as a member of the rehab team. Mary enjoys therapeutic massage and specializes in the treatment of rotator cuff dysfunctions and neck pain.

Mary tailors each massage session to the particular needs of her clients and utilizes a variety of modalities including Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release and Sports Massage. She is also certified in Pregnancy Massage.
